This exclusive distribution agreement now enables Smartways to offer “packaging on demand” as part of our “Smart-Temp” solution. With validated stock locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Auckland, we can now offer our customers more local availability to packaging enhancing our complete logistics solution. Combined with temperature loggers and an industry-leading technology Smartways is ideally positioned to manage all your temperature-control needs.

va-Q-genic

The multi-use solution va-Q-genic enables safe shipments in cryogenic temperatures as low as -196 °C by using liquid nitrogen. The three-layer system provides resistance against mechanical impact and the vacuum insulation holds constant temperatures of up to 35 days. The porous material inside the dewar stores vaporized liquid nitrogen whilst constant circulation of vapor is maintained throughout the use. Direct contact with liquid nitrogen is completely avoided during product loading and unloading which allows for safe site handling for clients. The va-Q-genic is compliant with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and not restricted as per provision A152.

va-Q-proof

The va-Q-proof is an innovative and reusable thermal packaging solution with high efficiency due to simplicity and effectiveness. All key components are produced in-house in Germany which ensure very high quality standards. The box enables the safe transport of temperature-sensitive goods and is designed for clinical trials, in particular.

va-Q-one

The va-Q-one is a qualified single-use thermal packaging solution with high performance features. It is a lightweight solution that does not compromise the quality of the box and therefore is reliable to transport any temperature sensitive goods. It is cost-efficient and provides outstanding payload to outer volume ratio. It has scalable thermal performance and comes in 6 different sizes to fit most client requirements.

For Commercial Distribution

Thermal Coat

The Thermal Coat is characterized by its utilization of phase change materials (PCM), which directly encase temperature-sensitive goods. This qualified pallet solution can be used multiple times and enhances product safety during sea and air freight transportation. For example, it mitigates short-term temperature fluctuations. In a sea freighter with active cooling, the Thermal Coat provides an additional 24-hour buffer in case of power failures or during transit. On the tarmac, when equipped with the corresponding Thermal Coat Equipment, it can mitigate unplanned temperature spikes for up to seven hours. The use of va-Q-gel (gelled PCM) offers several advantages, including the avoidance of liquid substances in aircraft, reduced weight, and enhanced leakage safety.

va-Q-tainer

The va-Q-tainer is an advanced passive container, perfect for the global transportation of clinical and pharmaceutical goods. The safe, cost-efficient and green solution simplifies handling in challenging environments. With pay-per-use-rental, scalable TempChain Services and a growing global network, the patented system eases the work of pharmaceutical cold chain managers worldwide. Due to an award winning insulation a comprehensive range of temperature is constantly maintained without external energy supply for true 120 hours and more.

va-Q-pal

The va-Q-pal is a cost efficient fully VIP-controlled pallet shipper. The high-tech solution is ideal for various purposes such as “non-return destinations”, special freight, destinations where return takes time, and for upgrading capacity for high-performance shipments. The va-Q-pal is available for shipments from -20°C to +20°C. It is very robust due to an outer carton honeycomb structure. The material can be fully recycled which underlines the green and sustainable concept of the product.

For Last Mile and Laboratory Shipping

va-Q-lite

The va-Q-lite is a sustainable and reliable solution for intracontinental and domestic shipments. The thermal transport box has a qualified performance with minimum payload according to ISTA 7E (summer & winter profile) of true 48 hours and more, enabling high product safety for its clients. The va-Q-lite is a sustainable solution, with 100 % curbside recyclable and biodegradable box materials, alongside reusable and bio-based PCM elements provided by sustainable suppliers. Carbon dioxide emissions are reduced in the manufacturing phase of the va-Q-lite, due to the local sourcing of natural materials (product carbon footprint calculations are available). The va-Q-lite is available in three box sizes from 4 to 23 L payload volume and can be customized for other sizes.
